ISO27001 Update - Certification Achieved

On July 13th 2018 we released a blog, the first line of which read: “Circle Cloud aim to be ISO 27001 certified by July 2019!” Well, on June 14th of this year (a month ahead of schedule) all the time and resource we dedicated to the project paid off when we passed our final audit.

Michael Povey (left in the featured image), Information Security Director, made the following comment upon receiving certification: “One of our main drivers for embarking on the project was to give our customers and suppliers greater peace of mind. We wanted them to know that we have a robust and standardised approach when dealing with information security. It feels good to know that we’ve done that and are continually improving how we do that.”

Michael was invited to the BSI head office in Milton Keynes to receive the certification, commenting that the day was a great opportunity to talk ISO with other like-minded company leaders, as well as mark a positive step in Circle Cloud’s journey.

When asked about the future, Michael said: “There are many other things we are considering, from additional ISOs to other accreditations. We are yet to make a decision on what the next step for the Business is on that front, however what I do know is that there is still a lot more to do with regards to information security. We now have the system but that is just the start. Staying one step ahead of risk is fundamental, particularly in our industry. Changes in technology mean changes in the threats but now, with the information security management system in place, we have the platform to manage the landscape of risk with more confidence”.
